I have decided to re-turf my lawn, what do I require to do this?

Do I need fertiliser?
Turf does not need fertiliser when being laid, you should fertilise your Lawn every 4-6 weeks through the growing season.
When do I cut my lawn?
After laying a new lawn you, can cut it after two weeks then every week through the growing season.
How much water should I put on Turf?
Once turf is laid we recommend 1 hour of water from sprinkler for every 25m2 of Turf. In dry conditions it may take more water than this. Keep watering for the first two weeks until roots have established.
How do I measure in square meters?
Measure the length and width of the area using a metric tape measure or a metre stick. Multiply the length in metres times the width in metres and that will give you the area in square metres.
How much bark do I need?
One bag of bark covers 12m2 to 50mm (2 inches)
How much gravel do I need?
One tonne of gravel covers 12m2 to 50mm (2 inches)
How much soil do I need?
One tonne of soil covers 25m2 to 25mm (1 inch)
How much does a “bulk bag” hold?
A bulk bag holds approximately one tonne (1000kg)
What are mixes used for?
Cement mix is used for brick laying and Ballast and gravel sand mix are used for making concrete
What are the reccomended ratio for mixes?
Cement mix is 4 parts sand :1 part cement
Ballast mix is 5 parts ballast : 1 part cement
Gravel Sand mix is 3 parts gravel : 2 parts sand : 1 part cement
What is the difference between dense blocks and mono blocks?
Dense blocks are used for making a wall and mono block is used for paving and driveways
